So you think you understand this thing you’re holding? Think again. Stop tapping. Stop swiping. In fact, stop touching the screen at all. To crack Blackbox’s puzzles you’ll need to find solitude and stillness, climb mountains, call on friends, get in tune with the cosmos, and think outside the box.
Minimalistic visual clues make for incredibly satisfying “Aha!” moments, while sonic interfaces provide an extra level of guidance and nuance that makes Blackbox accessible with or without vision. Thoughtful haptic feedback, Easter eggs on Easter eggs, and solutions that can’t be found beneath the glass of your screen redefine what a puzzle can be. You’ll never see your device the same way again.

Hey there friend,
It’s been a long time. I’m sorry about that. I’ve been very busy working on Blackbox for visionOS but fret not, I’m still here. Here with a few very important bug fixes that might have been vexing you… If you spent hint credits on either of those they should be credited back to you with this update.
■ The latest yellow challenge with the funny shapes became unsolvable in iOS 17.4.1, now it is not. Is that a hint? Not really unless you work at Apple and can compare API diffs… anyway I digress
■ The orange challenge with the dots and the dashes wasn’t really in the right place on phones with that fancy dynamic island. That’s been fixed and it looks a lot better to boot!
■ The blue meta challenge with the magnifying glass got reallllllly hard to solve due to some OS changes. It should be at least a bit easier again for sleuths… I also updated some of the imagery for when you find the solution…
■ The dark red meta challenge with the power symbol just got a liiitttle easier. Muah
■ Fixed the very subtle background visuals in one of the OG challenges. Whew

The most ingenious thing about Blackbox’s puzzles isn’t that you solve them without tapping or swiping. It’s that you’ll happily spend hours figuring out the game’s subtle clues. Do you need to tilt your iPhone, shout into the speaker or do something a lot trickier? Thinking creatively and finding the answer feels deeply rewarding, even profound—earning Blackbox an Apple Design Award.

The game has certainly trained my brain into thinking out of the box. It certainly does help if you are familiar with Apple IPhone’s features and short cuts. Perhaps It could be Apple iPhone wizard app too! Well, it is certainly more than that. :)
Also Ryan, I know what you are doing there... just tricked me into shifting Blackbox to the first slot of my App task bar. Sneaky fella.😏😏
