A gardener working in a rural hotel is entrusted by the owners, an “old English man and his little blonde girl”, to take care of their pets. The disappearance of Billy Joe, the cat, unleashes a frantic and surrealistic plot with tragic consequences that the paranoid main character fails to assume.

Maldito gato won the 2009 Fuentetaja Short Stories Award and was published in the collective book ‘Asentamientos’.
