Description

Control an army struggling for survival in the post-apocalyptic world. Choose one of the 4 unique factions—Moloch, Borgo, The Outpost, The Hegemony—and defeat your opponent in tactical warfare. Play solo against an AI opponent or against a human player in an asynchronous cross-platform multiplayer mode.
Prove that you have what it takes to survive:
March with the machines of Moloch, leading its army toward setting the new world order.
Become Borgo and unite the forces of the mutants who spread terror in the wastelands.
Lead The Outpost, humanity's last and only hope, and try to beat the machines in against-the-odds guerrilla warfare.
Be the boss of The Hegemony, a land of gangers uncaring about the fate of others, living only for violence and their mad entertainment.

Amazing game mechanisms, endless fun

Despite having never heard of this game before App Store recommended it, this is now the best board game I've ever played.

It has a rather moderate learning curve, but once you get past that, you're in for hours of strategic, chess-like, fun.

A tutorial video is provided, which explains basic gameplay. However, I recommend reading the information on the different armies (each with different units and abilities) before jumping straight into the game. It took me a number of tries (maybe around 20 or so) till I got the hang of the game and started beating the computer consistently. The AI is pretty good; it took me a while to advance to medium because the easy AI was challenging enough.

If you're a fan of games that require strategic thinking and planning (I'd compare it to chess in terms of thinking many moves ahead), I'd recommend buying the game, trying it out, and getting the two extra armies in the in-app purchases. It's well-worth the price. I've played this game more than any of the others I've purchased and it's one of those games that never gets boring.

*Some minor issues with the current version: If you try to skip combat scenes by spamming the button in the top right and hit pause by accident after the battle is over, and hit resume game too quickly, the game crashes. Developers might wanna look a little bit into that.

They've made an excellent app simply out of this world.

How did they do this?
An already amazing app gets updated for free to another, previously unthinkable level of software excellence.

The interface is smooth even with such strong vibrant colours. [Compared to some other hex based games out there]
The music is well suited to the theme and motif of the game.
There has been a lot of thought which went into the design of how the game interfaces with the user, no silly screens which block you, the ability to view the game board when you have some decisions to make.

They don't seem to stop, they updated the game when Retina came out and topped themselves yet again with a full on scale up this time.

I'm not even a big fan of the original board game. They've converted me.

And did I mention that they added iPad support too?
Wow...

Almost perfect

This has been for years one of my favourite games, but when this new version came out, all my previous purchases of all the different armies were gone, plus the previous version allows up to 4 competing armies to fight at the same time which is much, much more fun. A common problem both these versions have is that sometimes this game will crash, except the older version clashes more often. Give me all the armies that I’ve already paid for, 4 armies at the same time and resolve the crash issues, this game will be the single perfect game on iOS.
