Needs repair and overhaul.

The problem with people not using obikes so commonly used is because the bikes currently are all so poorly conditioned such that even the competitors have better and smoother bikes compared to obikes. Even unlocking becomes a hassle. I have to find 5 bikes or sometimes even more just to find one that can be unlocked, some give me this crap excuse bike can’t be detected , make sure Bluetooth is on blah blah blah. Even when unlocking the bikes, the seat and gear chains are so rusty it makes the overall ride so unpleasant . Buying the 2 year pass makes me feel so conned since it’s competitors are providing a much better service . Coming with new bikes and etc. I can’t even tell which is a new obike since all I see is rustiness in every bike without a fail. Could it be wrong supporting a local company ?

Bad experience A - Z

I have used obike services for about 4-5 months. I deposited the amount $49 which the company will do a full refund if I chose to do so. Essentially after a steep competition from other bikesharing companies, I saw more and more reason to use other bikesharing services.

First of all, bikes are badly maintained. As a result, the low reliability of the bike causes more inconvenience and more time wasted looking for other bikes.

Secondly, the company failed to honour their promise in returning my deposit. I have requested refund since 29th January, however till this date I have yet receive my money back which was promised in their clause of service. I have relayed emails however these emails prove to be of little help. I’m not quite sure how do I proceed from here however I’m rather fortunate that the HQ is in Singapore. I may pay a visit to physically request the money back.

Lastly, to whoever thinking of using the service, think twice before trusting the service. Do some research and you will understand the service standards of each company. In my opinion, there are other better brands out there.

Many pseudo spoilt bikes and unable to unlock

Was an early convert to the bike sharing system and O Bike was one of the first I used. Really like the convenience and stability of the bikes, including the baskets. However, few months on, none of them seem to work! I have to scan at least 4 to 5 and have once walked around the entire neighbourhood to scan at least 8 bikes before I could get a noisy/squeaky one to work. Perhaps they have been kept under the Void Decks for too long - hence the solar powered cell did not work to unlock the bikes.

I’ve also found them increasingly hard to find and use; again, it could be my neighbourhood, where Ofo and Mo Bikes seem to dominate these days.
