Love the different templates and the way it is so easy to save documents and open and close and modify.
I use this for casual word processing. Unfortunately, not for work. However, for creative writing and casual note-taking, this is really really good.
Good Microsoft Word Alternative
Pages works fine on Mac and have basically all the functions of Word. Only issue with it is the syncing. It may take hours before iCloud syncs my progress on all my Apple devices. Collaboration syncing lags by around 5 seconds on average.
The other frustrating aspect is that Pages keeps quitting automatically by itself on the Mac. Hope it's just a bug that'll be fixed in the next update, but in the meantime I'll have to wait 20 seconds to reopen a document every time I use it.
worst app interface i've ever used
first of all how do i add pages directly under the one i just finished writing on without the new page appearing somewhere else i dont want it to be at?? the insertion point does not go where i want it to go...can't move pages in the thumbnail either...pages also autoselects all the pages so when i try to duplicate one page it ends up duplicating everything. i dont even know how to cancel the autoselect so i can just select only one page to duplicate. not a good app to use when you're trying to create lecture notes bc most of the time you're trying to fumble with controls and end up missing the content. love the symbols and the way you can design your notes in pages but the controls are such a pain.
