What's New in Version 4.4.1
Go back to the yard in Modern Day, Part 1! That’s right, we’re taking you to where it all began, with 16 new levels featuring portals – and zombies – from other worlds. This update includes:
• The return of two fundead favs: Newspaper Zombie and Balloon Zombie
• The plantastic Nightshade, Moonflower, and Shadow-shroom
• A new premium plant, the Shrinking Violet
Will Crazy Dave finally get his taco? Or will wily Dr. Zomboss succeed and rule the time stream? It all starts now!
I want to say that I'm quite disappointed with the modern day world because of how overpowered the newspaper zombie became. In the first game, they were not tough, they were weak. But now, the paper is tough, unrealistic. The zombie itself is too strong. He's too fast, and he eats plants way too fast. It takes less than a second for him to eat a plant and takes less than 5 seconds to eat a wall nut. I'm really upset about this change. And also, levels are way too hard, because when the level starts, 8 zombies appear already?! Beside that, everything is good. BTW the newspaper zombie made it into my house but I didn't lose. Best glitch ever.
Jumping the shark...
I'd been playing PvZ 2 since its original release, but stopped after Neon Mix Tape Tour due to its unfairly difficult nature.
I'd decided to reinstall and give the game another shot, but to my horror, it's even worse.
The new world, "Modern Day" is so unbearably harsh to the player, such that it has become impossible to pass even the first few levels without spamming plant food/zen garden boosts or powerups
Many of the zombies are still overpowered, some of the old zombies (newspaper zombie etc) have been buffed, and the new shadow plants aren't of much help.
And they even upped the price of the premium plants: $9.98 for Electric Blueberry??? No thanks.
PvZ 2 is no longer a game of strategy and planning, instead it's turned into a pay to win game where those who pay tons of money for boosts/premium plants will get further while free players suffer, I would stick to the original if i were you.
Hangs my device
It sometimes hangs my device after a level pls fix it btw it's an awesome game
