Despite not being released until 1990, Dream Letter is one of Tim Buckley’s finest albums. This complete recording, from 1968, is an unadulterated look at his improvisatory approach as he runs through familiar album cuts and six previously unreleased tunes. His extensive vocal range and raw emotion turn the concert into a cathartic experience. With guitarist Lee Underwood, bassist Danny Thompson and vibraphonist David Friedman as his backing band, Buckley soars to the heavens.
