Album Review

Willie Nelson's entry into the Live at Billy Bob's Texas series of recordings features Nelson and the Family band running — not walking or strolling — through 20 of their biggest hits in near-medley fashion. The recording quality is uncharacteristically (for the series or Nelson) substandard here and the performance is loose, journeyman, and perhaps overly relaxed. Some of the titles include "Crazy," "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," "Whiskey River," "On the Road Again," "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground," and "If You've Got the Money, I've Got the Time." The deluxe edition features a bonus DVD reflecting the same quality in the concert.
