Few performers are more closely associated with the ranchera style than Lucha Villa, who rose to fame in the 1960s as an actress, but has also won a large and loyal audience with her powerful and compelling vocal style, recording and performing for fans well into the new millennium. Lo Mejor de Lucha Villa is a collection featuring 15 selections recorded during Villa's tenure with Mexico's well-respected Discos Musart label. Selections include "Fina Estampa," "Amenonos," "No Me Amebaces," "Inocente Pobre Amiga," "Corrido de Chihuahua," and ten others.

Mexico's most famous ranchera singer, Lucha Villa earned more notice than Lola Beltran thanks to a long, successful film career in addition to her recording work.
