About Bad Veins

Conjuring a virtual indie rock orchestra out of its two members, Bad Veins emerged from the Cincinnati scene in the late 2000s with a diverse sound slyly incorporating electro, space rock, New Wave, goth, and shoegaze. Originally the solo project of singer/multi-instrumentalist Benjamin Davis, Bad Veins came together when Davis teamed up with dramatically spastic percussionist Sebastian Schultz in 2006. After a slate of N.Y.C. shows, the band followed the long tradition of the CMJ breakout band when it wowed the magazine's festival crowds in 2007. Two years later, the duo garnered universal praise for their self-titled Dangerbird debut.
