About Davy Graham

Davey Graham was the loner-rebel of the 1960s British folk revival. Convinced that the only thing he had in common with others in the movement was that he played guitar, Graham pulled from jazz, blues, eastern modal music, and the Beatles to create his groundbreaking take on the form. Graham perfected a unique tuning system (DADGAD), and, in the process, influenced everyone from Paul Simon, Neil Young, and Bert Jansch to a slew of artists in the underground rock and folk scenes that followed.
