About Entre Ríos

Electronic pop trio Entre Rios (Between Rivers) is songwriter Sebastian Carreras, programmer Gabriel Lucena, and vocalist Isol. The Buenos Aires, Argentina, band had begun under the name Tus Hermosos (Your Brothers), releasing one album before forming Entre Rios with Isol (who also writes children's stories and illustrates for a newspaper). After first releasing two EPs in their homeland, they put out their first full-length, Idioma Suave, on Spain's Elefant label in 2002. Sal followed in 2003, and in 2005 Canadian label Endearing released a split CD with New York's My Favorite. Onda, the band's third record, saw international release by Elefant, Carreras' own Indice Virgen, and U.S. label Darla. ~ Kenyon Hopkin
