Fabricators of spirited, hook-driven indie pop, Modern Space is a five-piece from Newmarket, Ontario, in the Greater Toronto Area. The group formed in 2014 with lead vocalist Sean Watson Graham, guitarists Sam Arion and Alex Laurie, bass player Cody Steele, and drummer Tay Ewart, and quickly secured a record deal with Warner Music based on their energetic live shows. In the fall of 2015, the label released Modern Space's first single, "Pen to Paper," from their Tawgs Salter-produced debut EP, Before Sunrise, which followed in early 2016. In the meantime, the quintet toured across Canada in support of bands including compatriots Lights and Arkells. ~ Marcy Donelson
