In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Our first show was in Huntsville, AL. My Children, My Bride heard our demo tracks on Myspace and invited us to come out. Little did they know that those were the only songs we had and played a very short set. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? As Cities Burn, Son I Loved You At Your Darkest The Chariot, The Fiancée mewithoutYou, Brother, Sister These are bands that write about the agony of searching for a more perfect love. Their music is full of passion, creativity, and a willingness to explore the darker corners of the human condition. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mockingbirds After the Picture Show” This was our first song that we wrote with Ben Trimble after he replaced Austin Gros. We felt like sonically we had found what we were looking for. Lyrically, it was the first song that really hit the depths of humanity where we were wanting to go. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Our most memorable moment was when we played Cincinnati for the first time. We played a really awesome set, opening for the Devil Wears Prada. Immediately after our set we went back to our march table and we were sold out of everything! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? The band only lasted three years, but we accomplished what we set out to do: make beautiful art, build a loving community, and see the world. We are all very proud of what we accomplished.
