P. M. Bylund v. J. E. Carroll

Witness -- cross-examination of adverse party. Plaintiff, at work for the state filling cracks on the westerly half of a cement-paved highway, came in contact with defendant's
automobile on the east half thereof and was injured. In this action to recover damages based on defendant's alleged negligence,
defendant denied negligence and pleaded plaintiff's contributory negligence. Verdict for defendant, and plaintiff's motion
for a new trial denied. It is held:
