Album Review

In his second effort for Sony Discos, Victor Manuelle is still looking for a musical stamp to match his skills as an improvisational artist; the material is competent enough, but doesn't bring any particular novelty. It would take one more CD (Victor Manuelle in 1996) to develop his loyal following. In any case, there are some good moments: the title tune, "Voy a Prometerme" (composed by the singer), and "Por Ejemplo" (by Pedro Azael) are reminders of his days with his former bandleader, the underrated Don Perignon.
