DJ Q's Face the Music rounds up many of the 12-inch singles Paul Flynn (aka DJ Q) released between 1995 and 1997, offering proof that he can revive the sound of classic techno and house without making it sound static. His techno is spare and sharp, built from crisp drum loops and jazzy keyboards. It sounds vibrant and alive, occasionally reminiscent of classic techno from the late '80s/early '90s, but it's always danceable and fresh.

Paul Flynn's recordings as DJ Q have an occasional flourish of Detroit techno but mostly rely on tight but vibrant jazzy house.
