One of the most exciting country rock bands of the '90s and '00s, BR5-49 formed in 1994 and swiftly built a widespread reputation for their uninhibited, ferocious, good-time honky tonk. After making their debut with a typically enthralling live set for Arista Records in 1996, they released the blistering THE NUMBER TO CALL IS...BR5-49 and BIG BACKYARD BEAT SHOW. A second live album, COAST TO COAST, was recorded during a 1999 US tour with Brian Setzer. They subsequently signed with the Nashville-based independent label, Dualtone Records, for 2004's acclaimed TANGLED IN THE PINES.
