Graduated in Communications at San Diego's State University, Innis was captivated by Latin music while listening to José Alfredo Jimémez, he moved to Cuernavaca in 1997 to learn Spanish and to Mexico City in 1998 to take singing, dancing, and guitar classes. Innis, who also expresses his feelings through his paintings, signed to BMG in July of 1998. Produced by Kiko Cibrián and Mariano Pérez, his self-titled debut album was released in the year 2000, climbing the charts with a song called "Dime Dónde, Dime Cuándo." ~ Drago Bonacich
