About Jesca Hoop

A singer/songwriter who adorns her artful indie folk with quirky melodies and razor-sharp harmonies, Jesca Hoop's sparse songs nod to influences like Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, and Vashti Bunyan. She debuted with Kismet in 2007, kicking off a string of albums that were unpredictable while working within the parameters of her established sound. She partnered with Iron & Wine's Sam Beam on 2016's Love Letter for Fire before making her solo Sub Pop debut with the next year's Memories Are Now. Hoop's sixth studio album, 2022's Order of Romance, featured a pair of backing singers, core rhythm section, and horn and woodwind quintet.
