About Julian Cope
Musician, writer, historian, activist, and self-proclaimed cosmic shaman Julian Cope was first introduced to the world as the eccentric frontman for psych-blasted new wave icons the Teardrop Explodes. After leaving the group, Cope went on to enjoy an extraordinarily prolific and very esoteric solo career that saw him add Krautrock, folk, metal, and progressive rock into the pot. He has also trudged all over the country in search of stone circles while researching his exhaustive megalith-centric coffee-table book The Modern Antiquarian, and written Krautrock Sampler, a critically acclaimed guide to German space rock.
