A one-time collaboration between BT and Los Angeles trance producer/DJ Taylor that resulted in the classic trance song "Anomoly (Calling Your Name)." Originally released in 1996 on London's Platipus Records before BT eventually skyrocketed to superstardom, this song became a staple of the trance community, eventually reaching near-mainstream status by the end of the '90s. It appeared on high-profile DJ-mix albums such as Sasha's Global Underground: San Francisco, the movie soundtrack to Mortal Kombat II: Annihilation, cheesy compilations such as Trance Trippin', and even in the enormously popular teen film American Pie. In 2000, as the song seemed to continue its never-ending wave of popularity, Platipus finally released a follow-up record with a popular remix by the up-and-coming Ferry Corsten, which ignited somewhat of a renaissance for the track. ~ Jason Birchmeier
