About One Less Reason

Originally known as Lappdog, One Less Reason formed in 1998 in Jackson, TN. Vocalist Cris Brown and drummer Jerome Hubble played with several different lineups during the band’s early years, eventually settling on a permanent roster that included drummer Kevin Scott and guitarist Jeremy Jones. After dropping the Lappdog name in 2002, the guys also changed their sound, combining the hard rock songs they’d already written with softer, more melodic material. Although they signed with Universal Records in 2003, the contract didn’t last long, and One Less Reason returned to indie status after the release of one single, “Favorite Color,” in 2004. They continued releasing material, though, issuing albums like Everydaylife, Getting Back Your Self-Esteem, Lifetime Burning, and Faces and Four Letter Words on their own record label. ~ Andrew Leahey
