About The Marx Brothers
While the Marx Brothers (by order of birth, Chico, Harpo, Groucho, Gummo, and Zeppo) began as a musical act, it was on the silver screen, in classic movies like ANIMAL CRACKERS and DUCK SOUP, that the name became comedy royalty. However, the musical aspect of the brother act was never entirely abandoned; in each film, Chico would invariably perform a piano number, Harpo would strum the harp, and Groucho would sing a playfully riotous song (in the early films, Zeppo would add a romantic croon).
