About Unkle Bob

Known for their heartfelt songwriting and graceful folk-pop style, Unkle Bob rose out of Glasgow's university scene in the mid-2000s. Produced by James member Saul Davies, their 2006 debut, Sugar & Spite, found an audience in the U.S. where several of its songs were used in popular television programs like Grey's Anatomy and CSI Miami. The group disbanded after 2010's Shockwaves, though frontman Rick Webster revived the Unkle Bob name for a handful of releases including 2014's Embers and the 2017 EP The Highest Mountains. In 2023, all five founding members reunited to record Unkle Bob's lush fourth album Invisible.
