About Wednesday

Wednesday became popular in 1973 when their "Last Kiss" single sold over 200,000 copies in the U.S. alone. The Canadian band was comprised of Paul Andrew Smith (guitar, keyboards, vocals), Mike O'Neil (guitar, harp, vocals), Randy Begg (drums, guitar, vocals), and John Dufek (bass, harp, vocals); they released their debut album, Last Kiss, in 1974. Loving You Baby followed two years later. Randy Begg died on December 20, 2022, of a heart attack at his home in Belleville, Ontario, Canada at the age of 71. ~ John Bush
