Tic-Tac-Toe R is a fun app that provides articulation materials for the R phoneme in the form of a game. The game consist of a 3 by 3 matrix of pictures for the specific phonemes. It can be used by two clients with a therapist monitoring or with one client and the therapist participating.
For example, the app begins by saying, on the speaker, "Player one Please select picture". The first client touches any picture. The app will display the word at the bottom of the screen and respond with : "Please say the word and touch score correct or incorrect". At this time the therapist can touch correct or incorrect. If incorrect is touched, the app will count that as an incorrect response and the client can try again. If correct is touched, the app will will place a "X" over the picture, display Player Number Two, count the correct trials, and say "Player two Please select picture". The second player will repeat the above sequence. The App will maintain a total count of all responses.
When the activity is complete, you can touch the "Next" button at the bottom of the screen for the next page. There are 10 pages with 9 pictures on each page for a total of 90 pictures and words. Each page contains words and pictures from a specific category (animals, food, clothing, ect.). You may turn the sound on or off to meet your specific need. There are a total of 9 different apps for the following phonemes : SZ, TD, FV, L, GK, R, CH, PB, and SRL blends. Look for Tic-Tac-Toe xx where xx is one of the above phonemes.
