    Though located in the small North Carolina town, High Point University has recently staked its claim as a nationally recognized leader in higher education. Its curriculum is rooted in the liberal arts, but unlike other traditional liberal arts schools, HPU has an enrollment of about 4000 students. It also boasts a variety of pre-professional programs in business, communication, pharmacy, dentistry, physical and occupational therapy, and engineering.
