Commander and Chief is a Fantastic new series. Its different than Lost of Desperate Housewives where the entire season is wrapped around a mystery or discovering the antagonist. Its story is about a President (first female President) dealing with and surviving issues that arise as being the Commander in Chief. There is a constant antagonist that causes conflicts to arise. I have enjoyed every episode that has come out and they are extremely entertaining. I rate this show a 5 out of 5 for the fact that it doesnt follow the same story line most of the popular shows have of being one main mystery for the entire season.
A Powerful Drama... The West Wing Revisited
After watching my first episode through iTunes, I was hooked. Some would say it is a dumbed down version of the West Wing-- I would agree. However, Geena Davis brings a piercing image of a female president that I couldn't resist. The plot is insteresting, and the characters engaging. For only $1.99 give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Great show, but reviews are overrated
Commander in Chief is a great show mainly because it is about a woman stepping into power, leader of the free world and all the intricate problems that comes with that, but also because the woman is no other than Geena Davis, a great actress. But I do think that the reviews posted by others overrate the program. I don't think it can be compared to the brilliant work The West Wing does. And I don't blame them. This is a show about a woman president, it is not about how the White House is run, like The West Wing. Besides Geena Davis, the acting is mediocre, to say the least, not like The West Wing, which has excellent acting with everyone.
