An absolute hit!
This series is just fantastic with stellar performances by Patrick Swayze and Travis Fimmel. I originally started watching this because the wife likes Swayze and Fimmel; but this is a REALLY cool show! I like the hardened, grittier look to Swayze and Fimmel can act too (who knew?)!! I really hope they keep this series around for a while (but in case they don't, I'm buying all the episodes on iTunes!)!! I don't say things like this very often, but this show rocks!! If A&E takes this off the air the whole network deserves to tank!
Pretty stunning cinematography
The camera work is the best I've ever seen on television. It's like almost Michal Mann quality. The story is interesting, it ended kind of weird though. I like the characters. This show is worth it just because the production value is great. Some of the supporting cast is good, D'Angelo Barksdale from The Wire is in this season. I hope he has a bigger part.
