Description

Starring Emmy® and Golden Globe® winner Kiefer Sutherland, and returning for a sophomore season, Touch is the uplifting global hit drama from creator and writer Tim Kring (Heroes) and executive producers Peter Chernin (New Girl) and Katherine Pope (New Girl). In season two, the story setting shifts from New York to Los Angeles, where Martin and Jake are on the run from the mysterious and possibly sinister research facility Aster Corps, which had shown tremendous interest in exploiting Jake’s precognitive abilities. After arriving on the West Coast, the father-son team met distraught mother Lucy Robbins (Maria Bello) and now are determined to help find her missing – and equally gifted – daughter Amelia (Saxon Sharbino). During their search for Amelia, their paths will cross with Aster Corps’ mathematical genius Calvin Norburg (Lukas Haas), who’s rumpled exterior masks his true colors, as well as a complicated and intense religious zealot, Guillermo Ortiz (Said Taghmauoi).

Why?

I just watched the first episode of season 2 and I can't understand why anyone would take a unique and wonderful show and turn it into some run of the mill suspense drama. I loved Season 1, because it showed the interconnectedness of us all, telling different stories in different parts of the world, about different people, and how each one effects the other. It may have been a bit contrived, but it was hopeful and well done. I loved how different characters would sometimes reappear in other episodes, showing an intricate, interwoven fabric of existence. I loved how the boy had to set everything right, and his father helped him do it.

I hope this first episode is not how the entire season will go. It was nothing but darkness and suspense. The main characters of father and son were the same, and the boy still led his dad places, but everything else was different from Season 1. Unfortunately, this episode was very much the same suspense, cruelty, and darkness that is indicative of many trite, soap operatic, suspense dramas.

Season 1 was marvelous!

I'm so excited for Touch to return for a 2nd Season! I loved the first season, so unique and very original! I hope more seasons happen!

Best Show Ever

This is by far the best TV show I have ever seen - I have a 40,000 title video library, and I have never written a review or rated a show - but this was worth breaking my mold
