Matthew Perry ("Friends," "Mr. Sunshine") stars as Ryan King, a recent widower and sports talk radio host ready to get back to work after the loss of his wife. Ryan's alpha-male boss, Stephen (John Cho, "Star Trek," "Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle"), has a different plan in store for Ryan, making him attend grief counseling before returning to the air. A reluctant Ryan finds himself in a support group for "life change" where he meets an oddball cast of characters, all with their own backstories filled with varying degrees of loss. On his very first visit, Ryan convinces the group to deviate from their normal session and starts a tournament-style competition (March Sadness!) to find out whose story is the worst. Ryan’s total lack of interest in "the healing process" proves distracting, and he soon butts heads with the by-the-books group leader, Lauren, played by Tony Award-winner Laura Benanti ("The Playboy Club"). Back at work, Ryan is confronted with the fact that he hasn't really processed his grief and realizes Lauren and the other members of the group might be key in helping him move on. Also starring are Tony Award winner Julie White (“Transformers”) as Anne, Tyler James Williams (“Everybody Hates Chris”) as Owen, Suzy Nakamura (“Dodgeball”) as Yolanda, and Brett Gelman as Mr. K (“30 Minutes or Less”).

I smell a hit!

So I thought I'd check out this show last night because it's Matthew Perry. He's very talented (obviously) but this show only proves it. It's brilliant. It's my kind of humor, it's heartwarming, and to be honest, it's one of the best pilots I've seen in a while. It's nice to see Matthew Perry out there again doing what he does best, making people laugh. The man makes good television! I mean, who didn't love him in 'friends'?

I can't wait for the next episode of 'Go on' in September.
I'd definitely recommend this show, if you can appreciate the humor. I'm 17 and I appreciate it. Very vey funny. I get a good vibe from it.

P.s.- seeing Tyler James Williams from 'everybody hates Chris' was a cool surprise. I like that guy, he's a good actor.

really liked the pilot. Hoping for more.

If you like matthew perry and you like smart comedies you'll like this show. Plus the pilot is free!

Not Bad

Caught the premiere of 'Go On' after the Olympics, and while not a's not a tragic effort either. There are some actual unforced laughs, and a decent premise for this series. I wasn't a fan of Mathew Perry's last effort (already forgot the name), he appears a little more comfortable in this character, and if the cast comes together.. they could have something. So I say...give it a shot.. It's still free, and is broadcast on NBC.
