Wayne Boggs is an ex-marine, the brother of a major league baseball Hall of Famer, and the nation’s top Air Boss. But there are “junior” bosses that work under him that sometimes think they know better. And why wouldn’t they? Most air show bosses and performers are former fighter pilots. They’ve been trained to be the best, and admittedly programmed to be ruthless, unforgiving so-and-so’s. Accordingly, when an all too common difference of opinion occurs, fasten your seatbelts… we’re in for some turbulence! Wayne not only has to contend with subordinates who want his job, but with performers… and their egos. It’s said that the difference between fighter pilots and God is that God doesn’t think he’s a fighter pilot! And after all, people don’t come to air shows to watch the people on the ground! So when Wayne has to shuffle the line up due to weather, none of these rock star pilots wants their routine shortened... or scratched. And when Wayne makes the call and delivers the news, it’s the sparks that fly! But even when a show is going as planned, nature, mechanics, or dumb luck can come into play… and the results can be disastrous. The last air show season was the deadliest in years - a fact that weighs heavily on performers and show crews every minute of every day. But it’s Wayne who bears the burden of responsibility more than anyone else. Wayne has seen lifelong friends die before his very eyes while under his control. Tragedies shared by hundreds of thousands of horrified onlookers. Yet the air shows go on as Wayne is evermore determined to ensure no one dies on his watch. Attended by tens of millions across the country annually, air shows are growing in popularity and Wayne’s shows are the best of the best. He routinely bosses shows at venues including the home of the Blue Angels at Naval Air Station Pensacola, the massive Jones Beach air show in New York, and the ultra high-security show at Andrews Air Force Base in front of the President of the United States, as well as protecting the air space around the biggest event on the planet, the NFL Super Bowl. Each week, “Air Boss” follows Wayne as he serves as the show’s focal point intermingling ruthless performer competitiveness, conflicting egos, spoiled brat millionaires, and the constant risk of imminent death.

Today the Air Boss faces back-to-back challenges with immediate delays putting him behind schedule and must do whatever it takes to bring his show in on time while everything that can go wrong does! Making another run in Memphis once again is the highly popular Jet Truck, headed by driver, Chris Darnell, with support from his wife Brooke and Mechanic, Wayne... or as he’s better known, the “WAYNER.” Conditions aren’t ideal but the show will go on, and for the Jet Truck that means a modified but no less explosive performance to accommodate for the slippery runway.||22:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|3||HDClosed CaptioningVideoSun 'N Fun Part 1: The Oncoming Storm||Welcome to Lakeland, Florida, home of the week-long fly-in & expo known as Sun ‘N Fun... and also home to our very own Air Boss, Wayne Boggs. As an event that promises to be a season highlight, Sun ‘N Fun will feature an eagerly anticipated performance by the one and only, “Blue Angels!” but what starts out as a bout of nasty weather, quickly turns into a warning that no one was prepared for. Suddenly with a thunder storm on the horizon and an unforeseen delay with the Blue Angels just moments before the show, Wayne is quickly running out of time before today’s performance begins and devising a back-up plan seems impossible with the eye of the brewing storm in full view ahead. Now with severe-weather warnings in effect, the headlining Blue Angels must ultimately postpone their arrival which leaves Wayne scrambling for a solution before the show starts and his time runs out altogether. This nightmare scenario with the unpredictable changes in weather has Wayne crossing his fingers that the forecast will bring with it a massive sigh of relief.||22:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|4||HDClosed CaptioningVideoSun 'N Fun Part 2: Living To See Another Day||The weather is closing in and the decision to fly is up to the performers... will they stand-down, or will they risk their safety in the face of a potentially devastating storm? And will Sun ‘N Fun live to see another day as it braces itself for the worst storm the community has ever experienced? As a result, Wayne is confronted with the difficult decision of whether or not he’s going to cancel the air show altogether. Suddenly Wayne must shift his focus to finding refuge for as many aircraft as possible and make sure all the spectators find shelter as the tornado approaches. The entire community is shocked by the worst storm Sun ‘N Fun has ever seen; now all they can do is start to pick up the pieces in hopes that the expo will live to see another day. Restoring order to the miles of destruction covering the grounds of Sun ‘N Fun is an insurmountable task for anyone to fend against, but not only do the volunteers have a wreckage of airplanes, trees, buildings, and tents to clean up, they have just hours left before the event will be closed down for the season.||22:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|5||HDClosed CaptioningVideoPensacola Part 1: A Tragic Season||It’s the last show of the season as Wayne is joined by All-Star announcer, Rob Reider, for their most complex air show yet - and with over 20 aircraft and 15 jumpers in the sky at once, what could go wrong? Pensacola promises to be especially thrilling, as it is also the official homecoming show of the United States Navy Jet Team, the Blue Angels, and while the minimal crowds would suggest a relatively low-pressure day, the rehearsal is shaping up to be an endurance test of maximum proportions. As the sun rises on Pensacola, Florida, the sub-zero temperatures of the day before have subsided, allowing Wayne to focus on the safety and ultimate success of today’s show since there’s always some potential of it turning very chaotic for the Air Boss. Once the Air Show takes off with multiple planes and jumpers in the sky, Wayne’s Air Boss skills are put to the ultimate test as everything threatens to unravel before his eyes.||22:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|
|6||HDClosed CaptioningVideoPensacola Part 2: Overcome||Welcome back to Pensacola, Florida, for the third and final day of the Pensacola Air Show, the last air show of the season and the final day at the Air Show for Wayne, joined once again by legendary announcer, Rob Reider for a bittersweet concluding show to what has unmistakably been a tragic season. Today iconic pilot John Mohr takes to the skies for a performance that will leave you breathless. Among John’s arsenal of breath-taking signature acts is the three man “mid-air transfer act,” a maneuver that John helped to create. Unfortunately, the year marked by tragedy was felt by John first hand, when fellow performer and friend, Todd Greene lost his life during the “mid-air transfer act” while John was flying. As day turns to night one last time, the crowds are treated to a stunning display of a night show, a tribute for those who risk their lives every time they climb into the sky to entertain us with heart-stopping displays of aviation.||22:28||$2.99||View in iTunes|

They did it again!
Well, the producers of my favorite aviation show, The Aviators, have amped up the drama a bit and have given us Air Boss. And I LOVE it! It’s classification as “Reality” puzzles me a bit though. Not because it isn’t - in fact, it’s more REAL than what would normally fall into the category. But that’s kind of my point. It IS real! Nevertheless, enjoying story lines, drama that’s more than tolerable, and a pleasantly low cheese-factor! Well done Aviators!
This is the real deal!
I've seen airshows, but now I feel like I've REALLY seen them! How cool to see everyone involved and all the moving parts. Wayne Boggs is my newest hero. This guy's got the right stuff. And just watching him do his thing is amazing!
Wow, actually REAL reality!
Incredible, so it CAN be done! A reality show that DOESN’T assume I’m an idiot, cater to the lowest common denominator, and insult me as a viewer with false drama and staged conflict!
This show is actually very interesting and visually awesome with a story that actually keeps you guessing. And (at least it convincingly seems to me) is all real! Given that these things are occurring at live air shows I can’t see how it could be faked out.
Very well done! More please!!!!! :-)
