Note to the folks at iTunes and SNL: You need to do more to signal to customers CLEARLY AND BOLDLY that these episodes are edited and, in particular, omitting musical performances. It's understandable that you may be unwilling or unable to include musical performances for reason of copyright or future revenue opportunities, but please let YOUR CUSTOMERS know UPFRONT. Otherwise, it's just blatant misrepresentation. No denials please: this board is full of complaints in this regard.

Now to the example of the TAYLOR SWIFT episode--with two absolutely wonderful live musical performances: immediately at the close of her first set, SNL advertised the episode's availability on iTunes. Mere coincidence? Unlikely. But the clear implication to viewers was,... if you loved the performance, you can get it on iTunes. WRONG!

Yes, after the fact (to the surprise and dismay of many surely), we can read the fine print. But do you really want to annoy your customers so much? Just state in BIG BOLD LETTERS -- EPISODES DO NOT CONTAIN MUSICAL PERFORMANCES.

Then we wouldn't need to have this conversation.

Special note to musical artists: Don't let SNL/Apple insult your fans in this way.

Special note to the folks at iTunes: Mac users expect more from Apple. That's why so many of us spend the time to give you feedback.

Special note to SNL: Do you really mean to deny there isn't blatant misrepresentation here? Really? No, REALLY?

I Paid for THIS???

I can't believe I paid for an episode and didn't get all of it? Why is iTunes not including the musical acts? I will never buy SNL from iTunes again.

Love the episode, disapointed in iTunes.

this is a reflection on itunes, not on gerard butler. i bought this mainly because i loved the opening sequence making fun of 300 and phantom of the opera. itunes deleted most of this. i love gerard butler and saturday night live and think this was a spectacular episode, but i am very disappointed in itunes' cutting choices.

iTunes, please include the whole episode or let us buy the skits we like by themselves!!! the music performances are also really good! you'd get a lot more buyers if you included them.

ps. i bought the high definition version only to find that it wouldn't sync to my ipod because of it's quality. i had to buy the same thing in standard format so it would sync.
