I Used to be Fat is a new documentary series profiling teenagers desperate to shed their unwanted pounds before heading off to school. We’ll send a weight loss guru to work with each kid and they’ll go through rigorous fitness regimens and work with experts to learn how to change the habits that caused them to gain so much weight. Each one-hour episode will focus on a different kid, following them from the last weeks of high school to the first crucial days of college, and giving viewers an inspirational and intimate account of their emotional and physical transformation, as they struggle to change their attitudes, eating habits, and, ultimately, their lives.

My Friend Gabby C. is on this show. Quite frankly i find it inspiring. I am over weight & It shows me even tho I am comfortable with who I am I can lose weight just to be healthier. MTV has put out tons of Crap like Jersey Shore. I am thankful that they put on a show that will help other over weight teens.
Gabby has always been an inspiration & ALWAYS WILL BE.
Better than some
While I am not a big MTV viewer anymore (i came from a not so distant generation that actually saw music videos on this channel), it is nice that this show is about something real and relatable to young people. I'm not a full on basher, I ocassionally watch trashy reality shows involving fights and hook-ups, but I much more enjoy my rare MTV reality viewings in the form of True Life. I hope for the best from this show and hope it inspires as well as entertains.
I think that this show will show average over weight teens that it is possible to lose the weight and be happier in thier own skin.
