Lost In Space, Season 1Closed Captioning

In the faraway "future" of 1997, the space family Robinson is sent on a five-year mission to find a new planet orbiting Alpha Centauri to colonize. But the voyage is sabotaged time and again by an inept and self-serving stowaway, Dr. Zachary Smith, leaving the family lost in space. The family's spaceship, Jupiter II, also carries a friendly robot that endures an endless stream of abuse from Dr. Smith but is a trusted companion of young Will Robinson ("Danger, Will Robinson" became the show's catchphrase). Irwin Allen created this sci-fi cult favorite.

Campy Nostalgic Fun, but too pricey at $50! **** at $20-25.
Loved this show as a small child. But let me get this straight, I can get almost current Season 2.0 of Batttlestar Gallactica for $25. Or the great Firefly for $25. Or this 40 year old show that I can't play on my home DVD for $50? TV shows on iTunes is great, but some price points need work. I'll pass on this one until the price falls.
a little pricy for a 1965 show...i think .99 cents is better personally. still a great idea to market these shows...
Lost in Space on iTunes!!
I was 8 years old when this show premiered in 1965 and it is one of the best Sci Fi shows of all times. Yes, the newer shows like Star Trek Next Generation have far superior special effects, but this show was produced in 1965 when the term Hyper-Drive was not a common word. Lost in Space brought the space race of the 1960's into our homes every week as the Robinsons battled some weird alien or some plot by Dr. Smith. The first season is the best of all three for several reasons: It is filmed in Black & White (mainly as a cost savings) but it gives it a much deeper tone then the more '60's influenced 2nd and 3rd seasons (purple pants on John Robinson, come on...) but the biggest reason is the over all tone of the first season. It is TV family-drama at it's best, even tackling subjects like Woman's rights (albeit lightly) If you have not picked up the DVD version of this wonderful season, pick it up here now. If not, pick out your favorite ones for you iPod or laptop. If you're new to Lost in Space, buy episodes 2 through 6, which is a 5 episode story arc of how the Robinson's are Lost in Space, crash land and fight off some of the best aliens 1965 TV had to offer. Never fear, Smith is here on iTunes at last!
