The longest-running crime series and second longest-running drama series in television history is better than ever. Things have changed in the new season as Detective Green (Jesse L. Martin) investigates New York crimes with a bold, beautiful new partner, Cassady (Milena Govich). They still hand the cases off to Executive ADA McCoy (Sam Waterson). But now he has a new associate as well — ADA Rubirosa, with a lot to prove to the court and herself. S. Epatha Merkerson and Fred Dalton Thompson also star. In the criminal justice system, no show tells "ripped-from-the-headlines" stories with trademark twists like Law & Order. And more than ever before, the personal lives of the characters come into play...with often surprising consequences.

Season 17 is Terrible
After a stirring return to form in season 16, highlighted by the performances of Dennis Farina and Annie Parrisse, the original Law and Order has sunk to new lows in season 17. The writing is poor and the new characters are dull. Where Farina brought the series to a new high with fresh wit and tough performances, Milena Govich is vapid eye candy who drains the life out of every scene in which she appears. Alana De La Garza puts in an okay performance as ADA Connie Rubirosa, but she lacks the acting skill and charisma of Parrisse. Do not buy this season. It will bring tears to your eyes. If only iTunes offered a money back guarantee. This one is a DOG.
Add more seasons, please!
Law & Order used to be a five-star show, and (in my opinion), started its decline when Elisabeth Rohm (ADA Serena Southerlyn) joined the cast, and when Jerry Orbach (Lennie Briscoe) passed away. The first 10 seasons were the best!!! Please add them to iTunes!!!
Why so long from airing to iTMS?
I thought Apple was promising availability of TV show downloads the day after the show airs. However, Law and Order airs on Friday and the episode does not make it to iTMS until mid-week the following week. Boy, am I glad I didn't get sucked into buying a season pass! C'mon Apple--keep your promise: make L & O 17th Season episodes available on Saturday!
