And I should care...why?
If you are going to be on TV, shouldn't you have something worth saying? Watching an 80s pop star going through her daily routine is not entertaining. Remember how the original Real World on MTV used to deal with coming to understand people who were different from you (back before it turned into a drunken orgy of shallow, narcisstic misfits)? How about we have some reality shows that deal with the realities of learning to live together in a troubled, divided nation by understanding what unites us as human being and as citizens? Hey, Paula, sorry babe, but your self-absorption and attention-seeking just don't impress me. (Two stars, though, for being ballsy enough to not care that your flagging career interests no one but you.)
This show is addictive because it's just great to see how those celebreties live. It's funny because Paula is just funny and stupid because I do not get smarter by watching this. That's why I call it a guilty pleasure. Well if you have time to kill then do download Hey Paula!!!
A Glimps of Paula
I downloaded the free show to check it out and it wasn't great but it wasn't bad. It's a reality show like most other reality shows. It's something to watch to pass the time. I must admit I did end up buying the season, which is very unlike me. It's nice being able to see the side of Paula and her life that is hidden by what the press wanted us to see. If your a fan of Paula's you will love it. If you enjoy seeing the realties of the celerity life you will love it. I like how the show revealed the truth of what really happened regarding Paula's bad press with drinking and being on drugs. Your able to see how Paula has come a long way and how hard she works to get where she is today. You can see how much she appreciates what she has and her fans. She is quirky, wild, and insane at times but you would be too if you worked 24 hours a day with little to no sleep!
