Great show for pilots and non-pilots
For anyone with an interest in aviation, The Aviators provides a well balanced look into all facets of flying.
The show looks at airlines, air traffic control, flight in smaller private planes, flight training, and fun activities like flying sailplanes or antiques and warbirds. You get behind the scenes looks at airshows (including the military jet teams), learn what it’s like to earn a pilot’s license or update an older airplane to modern equipment.
I look forward to this show each week, and eagerly await Season 5.
Fun to watch
Greatest aviation show I have ever found.
I love everything about non-airline flying so I like a lot of what they show on The Aviators but two things drive me nuts.
I totally hate when they take a 4 by 5 movie or video and stretch to fit their format so that familiar aircraft become scrawny caricatures of themselves.
The other thing that bores the hell out of me is seeing the same stock shot again and again. Please don't waste my time showing a shot more than two or at worst, three times.
Aside from that I like the show. Most of my own flying has been in sailplanes and I'd like to see more about that but I guess that's an obscure niche of aviation.
