I was curious about this show based upon the buzz I'd heard. I expected something lurid, but what I found was a well crafted, stunningly performed show with a host of characters I can relate to --and I'm not even into polygamy. Having three wives in a family turns up the heat on family dynamics, but not in the way you might expect. In a matter of weeks I'd watched the first two seasons and am eagerly awaiting the third.
I have been waiting quite a while to see this show up on iTunes. An outstanding show with engaging characters and storylines. First show since "The Sopranos" that has gotten me excited about television. Strongly recommend.
I've always been a huge fan of Bill Paxton. His acting ability never ceases to amaze me. So naturally when I heard of this show, i slightly rebuffed, figuring HBO just wanted to shock people. Then I actually started to watch the show and realized how great it was. The characters are developed, they each have their own set of problems living inside of their family. There are secrets and juicy controversy with every twist and turn. Not only does this focus on the three women and how they share a husband, it shows some of what the children have to go through. It must be difficult having to hide such a huge part of your life. Thanks ITUNES for making this series available.
