From executive producers Hart Hanson, Barry Josephson and Stephen Nathan comes the fourth exciting season of Bones, a darkly amusing procedural with humor, heart and character, inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and novelist Kathy Reichs. Dr. Temperance Brennan is a highly skilled forensic anthropologist who works at the Jeffersonian Institute in Washington, DC, and writes novels as a sideline. When the standard methods of identifying a body are useless — when the remains are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that CSI gives up — law enforcement calls in Brennan for her uncanny ability to read clues left behind in the victim’s bones. Most law enforcement can’t handle Brennan’s intelligence, her drive for the truth or the way she flings herself headlong into every investigation. Special Agent Seeley Booth of the FBI’s Homicide Investigations Unit is the exception. A former Army sniper, Booth mistrusts science and scientists — the “squints,” as he calls them — who pore over the physical evidence of a crime. But even he cannot deny that the combination of his people-smarts and Brennan’s scientific acumen makes them a formidable team.

I miss Zack!
Don't get me wrong, I still love the show based on the premise alone, I mean, bones... how cool. But I digress, Zack has been an integral part of the show so far and it feels just wrong without him. The show has lost his funny, innocent, clueless-ness and no one can replace that. I just miss Zack =(
Let's be honest here...
I understand that some would follow this show through anything, but let's be honest, it's really not very good anymore. Any and all character development has been given up for ridiculous, slapstick comedy, while all of the squints now seem completely expendable, and frankly, with what they've done to them, I wouldn't mind seeing them go. With the exception of Hodgins, as he's the only one who seems to have some relatively stable foundation left to stand on. The premiere was a ridiculous disappointment that didn’t even bother to address the gigantic holes they left at the end of last season, not to mention the fact that it was incredibly disappointing to have that feeling of family given back to us in the finale, only to have it ripped away again without so much as the tiniest little meaningful scene between Brennan and any of the squints (i.e. Bren and Ange, even though they set up the perfect opportunity). This show no longer has any substance behind it. Booth has become a buffoon, Brennan has all but completely stopped growing in any plausible way(not to mention she's apparently given up her actual JOB -- you know, in the lab?), Sweets has NO PURPOSE (I love the guy, I do, but he doesn’t need to be there), Ange has become a ridiculous stock character, and the only things semi-decent about the premiere were Booth and Brennan’s English counterparts and Hodgins. There is no professionalism left in any of the characters, which the writers had enough piece of mind to point out in the first episode, like that makes it all hunky-dory. Not to mention the way they are so obviously FORCING things in just to create drama. This is not meant to be a soap opera. It should not be written like one. Until this show regains a bit of the intelligence it was once known for, I, for one, will not be watching.
Long wait, but worth it!!
The new season of bones is back, and its better then ever!! Although the show will never be the same without 'ol Zaccaroni, this leaves more room for bones, booth, and the rest of the team to grow....and its awesome that they're in the UK!!! Can't wait for the rest of the season!!!
