About Rita Springer

Texas-based singer, songwriter, and worship leader Rita Springer began her career in the early '90s as part of the movement surrounding the Association of Vineyard Churches, which began in her native California. A pianist since a young age, Springer independently released her debut album, Love Covers, in 1995 and would later record numerous highly regarded albums of worship and Christian pop music for labels like Floodgate, E1, and Word. Following 2000's All I Have, she released her first live album, Created to Worship. Over the next decade Springer released five more albums; co-founded the women's conference Fragrant Oil; and started her own worship school, DIVE (Deep-Innovative-Vertical-Expression), which trains up-and-coming worship leaders. Following a pair of albums for the internationally distributed Integrity label (2011's In This Forever and 2012's The Playlist), she published her first book, Finding Eve. Around this same period Springer relocated to Southlake, Texas, where she took a position as artist in residence at Gateway Church. Through the Gateway label, she released a new studio album, 2017's Battles. ~ Timothy Monger
