Add sources of income
Would more efficient if you separate sources of income, therefore, when you have expenses you can choose related source of income. For example, I have $1,500 on my bank account and $200 of cash. I bought iphone for $1,000 by credit card and coffee for $10 by cash. So I expense my bank account by $1,000 (and have $500 left) and decrease my cash balance by $10 ($190 left).
So, basically you apply Dr-Cr principles (Dr - expenses, Cr - bank account/cash) when you spend money and when you get money - Dr - cash/bank account, Cr-salary/gifts...sources of income.
