Description
VLC is a free and open source cross-platform multimedia player.
It can play all your movies, shows and music in most formats directly without conversion.
It allows file synchronization with Dropbox, GDrive, OneDrive, Box, iCloud Drive, iTunes, direct downloads and through Wi-Fi sharing as well as streaming from SMB, FTP, SFTP, NFS, UPnP/DLNA media servers and the web.
VLC offers support for advanced subtitles including full SSA compatibility, multi-track audio, playback speed control and rendering through Chromecast.
VLC is completely free and open source.

Good, but heating problem annoying
Great video player app almost the best, except annoying bug. My iphone 13 Pro gets overheated very fast when I start watching the video. I need to close it and open again to prevent from heating, please fix this as soon as possible.
My favorite player on iOS BUT!
But VLC doesn't see my media library network drive after I updated to iOS 16. iPhone Xr.
Network access on iPhone granted. Network drive with media library is working properly. MacOS version of VLC working perfectly with the same library in the same network. Please check this issue!

Device overheating
Original review: My iPad Air 5 gets so hot while watching videos in mkv, that it’s impossible to use it. Sad about such thing.
Now: after updating to the new version my iPad do not overheat when watching mkv video. I’ll test more, and if anything change I’ll update here.
