    The new late model touring series coming to Florida’s paved race tracks in 2010 has already begun to create a buzz around the state. Which is what you would expect of a touring series created by Wayne Anderson along with his famous father Dick Anderson and well known racer and Florida businessman Alan Bruns.

    Two hours of interviews with Dick, Wayne and Alan inside the creation of this new late model series sure to turn some heads in 2010.

    In 1978, a young American driver traveled to Lemans, France, and pulled a huge upset, winning the Karting World Championship race. On that day he bested, among others, the future Formula One star Ayrton Senna. And, he is still the only American to have won the Karting World Championship. That driver was Lake Speed!

    Lake won six International Karting Federation championships in his early karting days.

    In 1980 after considering racing in other series such as Formula One, CART, and IMSA, and getting advice from current Lowe's Motor Speedway promoter, Humpy Wheeler, Speed chose to go NASCAR racing. According to Speed, "It was the highest mountain to climb."

    "Hopefully we will have about 30-35 cars or so in the pit area for the race", said Todd Hutto, one of the East Bay ownership. "It should be a great race", he stated, "Airgas has come on board with us, helping us this weekend , helping us do some special things for this special race."
