I recently went to Paris with my French class and when I went into the Virgin store on les Champs, I saw the music video to "J'etais la". It blew me away!! I ended up buying the album and I do not regret it at all. My favorite songs are "Je suis un homme", "Na", and "J'etais la." If you like French music, this is the album for you!

Merci beaucoup!!! :D

A few months ago I found her by chance on YouTube and I couldn't get her music out of my head. She is an amazing singer. Two songs that I very much like are "Je suis un homme" and "J'etais la" (I'm struggling on making accents) not just because of their sound, but also because of their messages. Now, I'm only in my first year of french, but even the few words I am able to pick up are good enough. This is a great ablum that almost anyone who speaks any language can enjoy.

Better and better and better...

I have followed Zazie since Sucre Sale and her music keeps getting better and better and better. I thought the previous album was the best and didn't think she could do any better. Guess what... She did it again. A compilation of gems. Witty lyrics (as usual), playing with words and transcending their meaning. Music is impeccable. A perfect album, a delight to listen. I thought Zazie may retire after that. Guess what... She did it again with her best-of (not available yet on iTunes US) with two new songs, eg, FM Air, which are just fantastic. FM Air plays like a compilation of her best hits without being a medley. As always, sassy, witty, and amazing Zazie...

Zazie was one in a long line of French models and actresses turned pop stars, rocketing to overnight success with her 1993 debut single, "Sucré Sale." Born Isabelle de Truchis de Varennes in Boulogne-Billancourt on April 18, 1964, she grew up enamored of French chanson icons like Georges Brassens, Jacques Brel, and Barbara, and at ten began studying violin, soon adding piano and guitar to her curriculum. As a teen Zazie also began writing her own songs, and continued working on original material...
