Ok, the big guitars and 80's anthem style rockers are not here BUT you have to give to to the Scorpions for writing an album unlike anything they've ever done before. As a musician myself I know that eventually you get to a point in your career where you just have to do something you've always wanted to try doing or do what you want to do no matter what people think of it. This is the Scorpions doing exactly that. It's not for every Scorpions fan, but it's fun to listen to.

a little bit different.

yes its just a little different.but some of the ballads, and they are known for ther ballads are really really good.the bands getting older and you have too evolve.klaus's voise is wonderfull still.the first track has a great groove.to be #1 has great uptempo and a great guitar solo.so this albumis not to be dismissed.there are some nice gems in there

The Mysterious Obsession To Be No. 1

Eye II Eye is an excellent example of how much a producer can influence good musicians that keep an open mind. Scorpions Fans should all do the same and buy this CD! I highly recommend cranking the volume within a db or so from clipping and enjoy the fun lyrics and the "Freshly Squeezed" "Sweet Noise Pouring From The Speakers!" Thank you Rudolf, Klaus, Matthias, James and Pawel. Oh, and Peter Wolf for the production! The Scorpions continue to rock like no other band that is still around from the 60's!
