Not very good.

I have at home a series of cd's TeeVee Toons presents volume 1 and 2 and TeeVee Toons presents greatest hits of the 70's and 80's and TeeVee Toons presents Remote Control and Teevee toons presents Cable ready. These CDs have the real deal. You will hear the actual theme song from the show not some orchestra's version. The theme songs they have on iTunes are not very good. There might be 3or 4 themes that sound pretty close but for those of us who love their TV themes most of themes sound terrible. Could iTunes start selling the TeeVee Toons Presents. I know people would buy them.

OK, so they are covers of the originals…not the originals. However, the bands and orchestras seem to do an honest and enthusiastic effort to remain true to the originals. I was not looking for “all originals”, but these come really close. While my ears can hear the subtle differences from the original TV theme performances, it is interesting to discover that many of these are longer. I know that the opening 30 seconds of the TV shows would only hit a highlight of the theme. However, the closing credits would often be longer, so enjoy the longer theme music and give credit to not only the composers for the TV shows, but the musicians who are making an honest attempt at being loyal to the originals. Great background music and initiates conversations when someone says, “Hey! Isn’t that the theme from…?"

Major Rip

This collection of cover versions is a lot like the Collectors Editions from the Franklin Mint... guarantees to be worthless. For the price of this album I would expect carefully compiled and remastered original content, not a 'Pops' version but some orchestra on summer vacation. I suppose it could be useful as alternative elevator music but fans should know that this is a cheap copy.
