Nice eclectic variety here

There's something for everyone here in this collection. Very good value at $20. Most performers are masters, but what else would you expect from DG?

One glaring deficit

A wonderful collection that is way too big to feel like a sampler. But where, oh where, is the digital booklet that usually comes with iTunes albums? Had I known of this omission, I would have bought the CD version.
Nonetheless, after Christmas, this 111-track set will autofill a Shuffle.

Great selection...

From albums that you already probably own. Picking selections however just doesn't do it for me. The only reason to get this volume of this birthday bash has to do with the the superb Alice Sara Ott's Listz. I'm baffled as to why it was never released in the states. If you're a new to classical music it's a good intro to sample above par performances. There isnt' any rush to get it for the vets as you'll just be buying stuff you already have. - Bz
