iTunes Editors’ Notes

Buckcherry’s third album, from 2006, finds the band hurtling through rock ’n’ roll’s space-time continuum, yanking sonics from the past and then adding their own guttural suckerpunches. There’s ’60s Yardbirds-y rock (“Next 2 You”), ’70s punk (“So Far”), '70s arena rock (“Out of Line”), ’80s metal (“Broken Glass”), and ’90s pop (“Carousel,” “Everything”). Elsewhere, singer Joshua’s Todd’s string-stroked remorse toward a lover is displayed on “Sorry” and then completely eviscerated on the next tune (“Crazy Bitch”). Sure, Buckcherry may have a sensitive side, but it’s only temporary. You can’t underestimate the fist-jacking potency of this band’s work, particularly here.

Get It

I will admit that the first time I scanned though this, I didn't think much of it. But once you listen to the whole thing a few times, it is an excellent album. Can't wait to see them live.

Excellent Comeback

After about a 4-year hiatus, Buckcherry comes back with a bang. The vocals, still channeling Steven Tyler at times, and cripser and cleaner than their previous record "Timebomb." Musically, Buckcherry seems to have grown a bit therefore making this album more diverse stylistically. Are those some country riffs I hear? Nice works guys, and good to have you back.

Smack-in-your-face, pure rock!

What happened to rock just being about having fun, dicking around, just stupid things and not cutting your wrists, girlfriends, bad relationships that break your heart? AC/DC with their gung-ho attitude, Van Halen, The Darkness. Buckcherry represents the light that shines to this day that that original rock still exists in this world. 15 is a flat out rocker with beefy riffs, great vocals, and pretty decent solos.

The Los Angeles-based hard rock act Buckcherry formed in mid-1995, after singer Joshua Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson were introduced through their tattoo artist. After cutting several demos, the duo recruited bassist Jonathan "J.B." Following the subsequent addition of second guitarist Yogi Lonich, Buckcherry signed with DreamWorks Records and issued their...
